Because the holidays coincide with the end of year it always feels like 'things' are wrapping up. The annual reboot is coming; the chance to revisit the past year, learn from it, and start planning how to make the next one better!

I love the tradition of making Wham! that first song--Last Christmas is a fave of mine, too!

Holidays for me is about my grown kids coming home for a couple of days (if I'm lucky!). It's about decorating the tree with all their childhood ornaments and being thankful for all the memories they hold. It's sitting quietly each morning and spiritually reflecting on Advent. It's wonderful candles and Christmas movies and music. It's a time to slow down.

wham squad!

those are lovely rituals to have for the season! as a grown kid myself, i can say we appreciate having a home to come back to for the holidays, even if we arent always around 💛

For me the holidays mean watching my favorite Christmas movies (and finding new ones!) and drinking everything out of a Christmas mug because I don't like hot cocoa...love egg nog tho! The season itself always makes me happy. It's one I've been blessed to have only good memories about. I feel like I don't have a SINGLE album that's defined my year but rather individual songs that were especially prevalent in my life at various points this year. If I had to pick one though, I'd say it would be It's Almost Dry by Pusha T because I went to see him in concert this year and it was my first concert!
